Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1: Arrival in Jaisalmer | Jaisalmer Fort Tour

  • The Jaisalmer tour package for family starts as soon as you arrive in Jaisalmer. We will pick you up from Jaisalmer Airport/ Jaisalmer Railway Station and drive to the pre-booked hotel.
  • You can check into the hotel and then relax for some time and get refreshed. We will now begin the tour of Jaisalmer Fort.
  • This fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the few examples of a ‘Living Fort’. Descendants of the original inhabitants of the fort still live inside the fort.
  • You can view the vintage havelis and visit the temples in this fort. There are around 7-8 temples inside Jaisalmer Fort, and these temples have incredible architecture, delicate carvings and sculptures of gods and goddesses.
  • You can enjoy the panoramic views of Jaisalmer from this fort. You can also relish some mouth-watering dishes in the rooftop restaurants inside the fort.
  • You can do sightseeing in Jaisalmer Fort for about 3-4 hours and then return to the hotel.
  • You can spend the rest of the day doing leisure activities and shopping in a local bazaar.
  • Then spend the night in the hotel after dinner.

Day 2

Day 2: Heritage Havelis | Amar Sagar Lake

  • Today is another exciting day of sightseeing in Jaisalmer. You can have an early breakfast and then visit some heritage havelis in Jaisalmer.
  • We will first visit Patwon ki Haveli, which is also called Kothari's Patwon Ki Haveli, or Patwa Haveli. In olden times, this haveli was built by a Patwa Jain family and is a complex of 5 havelis.
  • You can visit the museum inside the haveli and take a look at the old-world antiques, utensils, paintings, and other exhibits.
  • Pay special attention to the intricate carvings, Rajputana architecture and sculpted jharokhas or balconies.
  • Then visit Salim Singh ki Haveli, which is named after its builder, Salim Singh. He was a minister of Jaisalmer in the 19th century and was very wealthy.
  • The haveli has many courtyards and Jharokhas with intricate carvings and architecture. The architectural style is a mix of Rajputana and Mughal styles.
  • We will now proceed onwards and visit Nathmal ki Haveli, which is another spectacular example of haveli architecture in Jaisalmer.
  • You can view the detailed carvings on the Jharokhas and admire the sculpted doors, paintings, and windows.
  • After lunch, we will visit Amar Sagar, which has a small lake and temple. This is a Jain temple and has wonderful architecture and construction made of yellow sandstone.
  • You can admire the intricately carved temple architecture and its eye-catching design, and spend a few moments at this place.
  • In the evening, you can relax in the hotel or have a stroll in the nearby market.
  • Then have dinner, and then stay in the hotel for the night.

Day 3

Day 3: Arrival in Desert Camp | Family Activities

  • This is an exciting day of this Jaisalmer tour package for family.
  • After breakfast, you will check-out from Jaisalmer and proceed to visit Sam sand dunes.
  • Sam is a village near Jaisalmer, which is famous for its sand dunes and desert landscapes.
  • You will check into the luxury desert camp on arrival and receive a traditional Rajasthani welcome.
  • Now the full day is yours to enjoy various kinds of desert activities with the entire family.
  • Go for camel rides and jeep safari, which are very popular things to do in Sam.

Day 4: Gadisar Lake | Departure from Jaisalmer

  • After breakfast in the desert camp, check-out and then return to Jaisalmer.
  • We will visit Gadisar Lake, and you can view the memorials, chhatris, and temples around the lake. Sit by its banks for some time and shoot photos of this site.
  • Now is the time for departure from Jaisalmer. We will drop you off at Jaisalmer Airport/ Jaisalmer Railway Station, and you can board the flight/ train to your hometown.
